It is also influenced by the other scores in gaits, the score for Riding horse type and the competition results in dressage due to the genetical relationships that exist between these traits.

The index for Trot is based on the score for 'trot in hand' at the 3-year old test and 'trot under rider' evaluated at the quality test.
