BLUP/Breeding & Competition results
Welcome to the home page where you can search for breeding information on your horse! Here you find the official BLUP-indexes for Swedish Warmblood horses, as well as results from the three year old test, quality test and competition. For every horse a four generational pedigree is shown as well as other basic information like year of birth, registration number, stud book number (if applicable) etc. The most recent breeding class is shown for both mares and stallions and also whether the class has been up-or down graded. Information on individuals is updated weekly, however BLUP-indexes, competition results, three year test results and quality test results is only updated once a year.
For stallions approved in Swedish Warmblood breeding, presentations of those that are currently licensed are available. A fact sheet will also be available for each stallion. This presents information for mare owners about from who and where to acquire services of the stallion. Lists with breeding statistics are updated continuously.
The BLUP indices are based on results from the three year old - and quality test up until 2008 and on competition results spanning from 1961-2007.
Official BLUP-indexes are awarded to the following groups of horses:- Stallions with a minimum of 15 evaluated offspring at the three year old test and/or quality test.
- Mares with at least one evaluated off spring from the three year old - or quality test or at least one offspring in the show ring. Mares that have been evaluated themselves or have been competing get an official index as well.
Apart from the groups of horses mentioned above, a so called”pedigree index” is awarded to mares that do not fulfil the criteria but where both parents have an official index. This type of index is listed under the heading “Preliminary index profile” instead of just “Index profile”.
In the margin to the right you can put in one or more search criteria to find the horse you are interested in. You can also find ranking lists on stallions and mares, ranking due to whatever trait you would like to look for. You can find these links in the top right corner.
